About Me

My path to midwifery was a winding one, which led me first through a career as a special education teacher and then briefly as a therapist. However, within a few years of completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, the calling towards midwifery grew loud and clear. In all of my work, I have always been drawn towards the process of supporting people and families through transformational periods of life. I have a deep belief in the power each human holds within to explore their depths, to grow and change, and to heal. It is an honor to come alongside women and families as they experience the life-changing power of pregnancy, birth, and the transition to parenthood.

I identify as an Indian American woman with diverse life experience. After being born in Australia, my family immigrated to the United States when I was a child, I later lived in South America as an adult, and have now somehow come to call Texas my home.  My husband and I have two amazing daughters, both born at home, who light up our lives every single day.

I began the Association of Texas Midwives Midwifery Training Program in 2012 and graduated in the spring of 2020. During this time I apprenticed for 4 years and attended approximately 110 births.

I am a licensed midwife (LM) in the state of Texas and a registered member of the Association of Texas Midwives. I am certified in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation.
